G-Lab-2b – Articles and Perspectives

The articles in this section do not offer easy solutions. Nor do they offer slogans. They are honest attempts to see clearly. To name what is uncomfortable. To connect what seems broken.

They arise from the work we do at G-LAB-2B: research, open conversations, and education. We seek to understand how communication and cooperation can change the course of a crisis and open paths amid the noise.

What is written here is not intended to convince, but to invite reflection. Sometimes, a well-articulated idea is enough to change a way of seeing. Sometimes, a story is enough to awaken something dormant.

This is what you will find here: words that seek to open up space. Space to understand. To imagine what is possible.

Progress in the right direction: global cooperation

Unfortunately, in recent months we have heard many governments of countries, among them: China, Russia, Germany, France, England, Nordic and Baltic countries etc..., say that they will again increase the “defense” budget and arm their armies to be prepared for war. However, this raises the underlying question: If we go back to the same patterns, can we really call the…

La solución puede ser un problemaG-Lab-2b - Articles and Perspectives

The solution could be the problem

In our world we try to look for clear answers and “perfect” solutions. But what happens when those very solutions are themselves the problem? Holistic mediation: various perspectives

The thesis of this article: a “theory of mediation” would be a derivation of “practical mediation”, but with a scientific basis, which explains exactly why mediation can work or has to work in (escalated) conflict. Although Harvard research is often used to scientifically justify mediation, it does not fulfill all the necessary requirements and perspectives, because it does not define…

Creating and Living an Inclusive Culture Without Labels

The experience of being categorized or labeled is a profound social phenomenon that affects many people in different contexts. It can take many forms, from gender roles to ethnic classifications to social classes. This categorization can lead to discrimination and marginalization. Confinement to a specific “category” can also compromise personal freedom and self-identity, as individuals are perceived in stereotypical ways…

Exit strategies in warfare

There is a great deal of evidence that problems cannot be solved militarily. According to studies, there have been more than 14,400 wars in the history of mankind, claiming the lives of some 3.5 billion people. The world is “spinning out of control” and we humans have the capacity to prevent it. Why don't we? We tend to see war…
